Just because it’s winter, doesn’t mean it’s too cold for a photo shoot! Winter can be such a romantic time of year, as Olivia & Pat showed us in this Alexandria engagement session. Just grab your partner, a nice winter coat, and your coffee!
Old Town Alexandria also has the best holiday feel to add to the coffee date vibes. Who doesn’t love twinkly lights?
This session was an instant favorite for me, because we decided to shoot at sunrise! This allowed us to have fun with movement and silhouettes.
In general, I love this location because there are so many elements to work with- brick buildings, waterfront, cute shops, and in the spring there are great blooms as well. Because it is so beautiful, it can get crowded- especially on weekends. All the more reason to plan for an early start!
Can’t forget the famous Old Town alleyways either! It’s not every day that I hang out in alleys, but when I do, it’s to photograph cuties in love.
