One my absolute favorite locations to photograph in is Old Town Alexandria. Down by the waterfront there are charming stores, homes, cobblestone streets, and pretty alleyways that make it easy to go for a stroll with multiple photo stops along the way.
For this engagement session, we warmed up with some guided posing in one such alley way, then we walked a few blocks over to Mia’s for some cute, more relaxed portraits. This was because the couple got engaged at Mia’s so it was a perfect special touch for their gallery!
As the sun started to set, we continued our walk along the waterfront and I prompted my couple to be playful and get cozy on the rocks and docks to get these gorgeous photos:
I adored their energy, so we ended our session with some more movement-centered poses: dips, twirls, and quiet moments of connection.
