Now, I may be a Northern Virginia photographer, but when David reached out about his proposal plans to Sam, I couldn’t resist, so I made the drive. Fells Point is charming because of all the cobblestone streets, historic buildings, and the waterfront views. David and his now-fiancée Sam love the Domino’s Sugar sign here, so that’s where the proposal took place!
I’ve photographed many proposals before, and there is no right or wrong way to respond (well, maybe there is, but stay with me), but Sam becoming the 😲 emoji personified and then jumping and dancing around with David was everything.
I’ve done all sorts of things to be discreet during proposals, but honestly, since we had a scenic view, posing as just another photographer getting pictures of the view was an easy way to go. They walked right into my frame as planned and bam! Magic! We kept the good vibes going with some fun posing and skipping along the waterfront to create the beautiful gallery you’re seeing now.
